The Copenhagen Ballerup Centre is located in the Lautrup Park business park, which has Denmark's largest concentration of research and hi-tech companies. Ballerup is the heart of the country's 'Silicon Valley', an area where there are approximately 10,000 IT and telecoms companies, and another 5,000 businesses linked to life sciences, including medico production, development and research. The Ballerup area is home to a wide range of educational institutions relevant to business, including the Copenhagen Engineering Academy, which has a long tradition of close collaboration with local industry. The Ballerup Centre offers 24-hour access to facilities including Sky TV and is close to major rail, bus and road routes into Copenhagen, as well as the motorway network connecting the Ballerup region with Jutland, Germany and Sweden.
